Manuals stay online for at least 15 years
A QR code printed on a product must open its manual for the whole life of that product: whoever it changes hands to, and whatever happens to the subscription of the company that made it. This is the promise everything else in ToriSet rests on.
15 years is the minimum we put in writing. Our own internal target has no expiry date.

An address that never changes
Every product has one permanent address. It does not depend on the name of the page, on the language of whoever opens it, or on the manufacturer’s own domain: it is what gets printed on the QR code, and it stays valid when everything else changes.

Manuals are never deleted
Uploading a manual again does not replace the previous one: it becomes a new revision. The latest is the one on display, earlier ones stay readable. Whoever owns a unit from the 2027 batch must be able to read the 2027 manual.
Out of production does not mean gone
A product that leaves the catalogue stays online with a notice saying it is no longer in production. Manuals, documents and scheduled checks stay where they are, because the units already sold are still out there.
Reading is never blocked
If a manufacturer stops paying, the management features stop: uploading, editing, inviting people. Reading and downloading do not. Whoever holds the product keeps finding its manual, always.
It covers QR codes already printed
Addresses printed before this policy keep working. A historical address is never reassigned to another product: it leads to the right page or it leads nowhere.
A manual that stays reachable is already an obligation. Soon it will be more of one.
Three European regulations push in the same direction: instructions may live online, provided they stay reachable for years. Below is what each one requires, and where our commitment goes further.
Machinery
The regulation requires
Instructions for use may be supplied in digital format, but they must remain available online for the expected lifetime of the machinery and in any case for at least ten years after it is placed on the market. On request, the manufacturer supplies a paper copy free of charge.

We keep every manual readable for at least 15 years, with all earlier revisions alongside the latest one, and the address printed on the QR code never changes.

General product safety
The regulation requires
A product placed on the market must be safe and accompanied by the instructions and safety information needed to use it. In the event of a recall, whoever placed it on the market must be able to reach the people who bought it.
Our commitment
The public product page is a stable address for instructions, safety notices and recalls, reachable by anyone holding the product — the second owner included.

Ecodesign and the digital product passport
The regulation requires
It introduces the digital product passport: information on durability, repair and components, reachable from a data carrier attached to the product. The specific requirements arrive product group by product group, through later acts.
Our commitment
A QR code on the product that opens a permanent page is already the shape this regulation asks for. When the requirements become specific we will adapt without touching addresses that are already printed.

None of these lines is a good intention: they are settings that can be verified, and they stay true on the days nobody is looking at them.
Storage versioning
Every uploaded file stays a version of its own. Overwriting it does not erase the earlier one, and no lifecycle rule ever removes manuals.
Replication to a second European region
Files are copied to a second store, in another European region. The data stays in the Union, and losing a region is not losing the manuals.
Continuous database backup
The registry that ties products, revisions and addresses together has a continuous backup, restorable to a precise point in time.
Daily automated availability check
Every day an automated check opens a sample of addresses and manuals and verifies that they really answer. If something does not, we are the ones who notice — not the person holding the product.
Historical addresses kept alive
When the name of a page changes, the old address stays and leads to the new one. No name is ever reassigned to a different product.
The cases where a file can disappear.
A guarantee that does not say what it leaves out is not a guarantee. There are two cases, both rare, and both leave the page standing.
Removals required by law
A legitimate request — copyright, an order from an authority, a takedown — can oblige us to remove a file. The page stays, and in place of the file there is a note saying it was removed: whoever arrives from the QR code understands what happened instead of finding a blank.
Content published by third parties
We cannot guarantee the permanence of material uploaded by someone who had no right to it. Content published in breach of someone else’s rights is removed, and the guarantee does not extend to it.
A QR code that lasts as long as the product.
