Italian kit for any employer with at least one worker or equivalent person. Covers the review of the risk assessment document (DVR), mandatory training and the periodic refreshers for workers, supervisors, managers, the employer, the prevention service head (RSPP) and the workers' safety representative (RLS) under the State-Regions Agreement of 17 April 2025, health surveillance, the annual safety meeting, first aid and category III PPE. It does NOT cover fire-safety management, plant and equipment inspections (separate kits) or the construction-site duties of Title IV.

Review and update the risk assessment document (DVR)
The employer re-does the risk assessment whenever the production process or the organisation changes significantly, technology evolves, a significant accident occurs or health surveillance requires it, completing the update within 30 days of the triggering event. The evidence is the dated DVR signed by the employer, the prevention service head, the occupational physician and the workers' safety representative. Applies to all employers; those with up to 10 workers may use the standardised procedures of art. 29(5).

Refresh the RSPP and ASPP training
The head of the prevention and protection service (RSPP) completes 40 hours of refresher training over 5 years and the assistants (ASPP) 20 hours under the 2025 Agreement, with the hours spread across the five years running from completion of the common Module B. The evidence is the set of certificates for each refresher module. Applies to companies with an in-house RSPP or whose employer personally acts as RSPP; for external RSPPs the duty falls on the professional, but the company must keep the evidence.

Train and refresh the employer
The employer must complete a mandatory 16-hour course, plus 6 hours when working on construction sites, and thereafter at least 6 hours of refresher training every 5 years: this duty is separate from and additional to the employer-as-RSPP course. The evidence is the individual certificate showing the course end date. Applies to all employers, including those who do not personally act as head of the prevention and protection service.

Carry out the periodic medical examinations
Workers exposed to risks requiring health surveillance undergo a periodic medical examination by the occupational physician, who issues the fitness-for-task opinion; where no specific frequency is set by law the default is annual, unless the physician sets a different interval in the health protocol. The evidence is the fitness opinion in duplicate, one copy to the worker and one to the company. Applies only to workers exposed to the risks for which the risk assessment and the law require health surveillance, such as manual handling, display screen work above 20 hours a week, chemical agents, noise, vibration, carcinogens and night work.

Refresh the workers' safety representative (RLS) training
The workers' safety representative attends annual refresher training of at least 4 hours in companies with 15 to 50 workers and at least 8 hours in those with more than 50; initial training is 32 hours, 12 of them on specific risks. The evidence is the individual certificate, kept with the election record. Applies to companies with an elected in-house representative: in companies of up to 15 workers without one, the role is performed by the territorial representative and the training duty falls on the joint body.

Hold the periodic safety meeting
In companies or production units with more than 15 workers the employer convenes, at least once a year, a meeting with the prevention service head, the occupational physician where appointed and the workers' safety representative, to review the risk assessment document, accident and occupational-disease trends, PPE selection criteria and effectiveness, and information and training programmes. The evidence is the meeting minutes made available to the participants. Applies to companies and production units employing more than 15 workers, counted per production unit; up to 15 workers the meeting is not mandatory but the representative may ask for it.

Refresh the supervisors' training
Supervisor (preposto) training must be delivered entirely in person or by synchronous video conference and repeated at least every two years, and in any case whenever risks change or new ones arise: the refresher lasts at least 6 hours and the initial course 12 hours under the 2025 Agreement. The evidence is the individual certificate, kept together with the appointment letter. Applies to companies that have identified one or more supervisors under art. 18(1)(b-bis) of D.Lgs. 81/2008.

Refresh the managers' safety training
Safety managers attend at least 6 hours of refresher training every 5 years; initial training is 12 hours, with an additional 6-hour module for construction activities. The evidence is the individual certificate showing the course end date, from which the five-year period runs. Applies to companies with managers as defined in art. 2(1)(d) of D.Lgs. 81/2008, that is, those who implement the employer's instructions by organising the work and supervising it.

Refresh the first-aid responders' training
Designated first-aid responders repeat their training at least every three years, limited to practical intervention skills: 6 hours for group A companies and 4 hours for groups B and C. The contents and expiry dates of the first-aid cabinet or kit must also be checked; the evidence is the individual refresher certificate. Applies to all companies: the classification into group A, B or C, which sets the course length and the minimum equipment, depends on the INAIL tariff code, the number of workers and the sector.

Inspect category III and fall-arrest PPE
The employer keeps PPE in working order and ensures the checks prescribed by the manufacturer; for fall-arrest and other category III PPE, technical practice and the instructions for use call for a periodic inspection by a competent person, normally annual, with a recorded outcome. The evidence is the inspection sheet for each item, signed by the inspector. Applies to companies issuing category III PPE — harnesses, lanyards, retractable devices, anchors, breathing apparatus, PPE against chemical agents and electrical risk — with the interval to be aligned with each device's manual.

Refresh the workers' safety training
Every worker must attend a refresher course of at least 6 hours within 5 years of the last training or refresher; initial training remains 4 hours of the general module plus 4, 8 or 12 hours of the sector-specific module depending on the risk level of the ATECO sector. The evidence is the dated individual certificate signed by the training provider. Applies to all workers, including working partners, trainees and agency workers, the length of the specific module depending on the ATECO code and the risk level.
