Keep the register of safety verifications and observations
The employer records in a register kept available to the labour inspectorate the dates and results of periodic verifications, fire-equipment tests and drills, attaching the external bodies' reports. Proof is the register itself, updated at each intervention; the Labour Code has no single general safety register, the duty arising from several sector articles. Applies to all workplaces and, in premises that are also open to the public (ERP), overlaps with the safety register required by the construction and housing code.

Have the six-monthly check of person-lifting equipment carried out
Equipment powered by a source other than direct human force that carries persons or moves a workstation at height (MEWPs, site hoists), and equipment subject to frequent relocation without major dismantling, is verified every six months. Proof is the periodic verification report: a fleet holding both overhead cranes and MEWPs needs two separate deadlines. Applies to MEWPs and elevating work platforms, site lifts and hoists, and frequently relocated equipment, the frequency dropping to 3 months for equipment moved by direct human force that shifts a workstation at height. Have the periodic inspection of pressure equipment carried out
Pressure equipment in service (vessels, steam generators, piping) undergoes periodic inspection by a competent person appointed by the operator or, in the cases provided for, by an authorised body. Proof is the periodic inspection record in the equipment's service file; the interval must be matched to the equipment type, since art. 15 of the 20 November 2017 order sets 12 months for diving cylinders and non-metallic mobile vessels, 24 months for steam generators and quick-actuating closure vessels, and 48 months for other equipment other than piping, with the first inspection within 36 months of commissioning. Applies to pressure equipment and simple pressure vessels above the in-service surveillance thresholds, alongside the periodic requalification of art. 18 (10 years for most vessels, piping and steam generators, 6 years for corrosive or toxic fluids and non-metallic vessels, 2 years for diving cylinders and non-metallic mobile vessels).

Have the annual general periodic check of lifting equipment carried out
Lifting equipment (overhead cranes, hoists, cranes, gantries) undergoes a general periodic verification every twelve months by a qualified person, covering condition examination and tests; commissioning checks and re-commissioning checks after dismantling, repair or an incident apply in addition. Proof is the verification report entered in the safety register. Have the electrical installations checked annually
The employer has the workplace electrical installations checked periodically by a competent person or an accredited body, to confirm they remain compliant. Proof is the verification report, filed with the safety register together with evidence of corrective actions; the annual frequency may be extended to two years where the previous report carried no observations or where remedial works were completed before the due date. Applies to all workplaces with electrical installations, counted from the date of the initial verification.

Schedule renewal of the information and prevention medical visit
Every employee has the information and prevention visit renewed at the occupational health service, at a frequency set by the occupational physician and in any case not exceeding five years. Proof is the follow-up attestation issued to the employee and the employer: set the reminder on the frequency given by the service rather than automatically on five years, and note that for night workers and some protected categories the ceiling drops to three years. Applies to employees not assigned to posts with particular risks, the actual frequency being set by the occupational physician in the light of working conditions, age, health and exposure.

Have fall-arrest PPE checked annually
Personal fall-protection systems (harnesses, lanyards, retractable fall arresters), in use or in stock, must have passed a general periodic verification less than twelve months before use; twelve months is the maximum, and intensive use, chemical exposure or harsh weather call for shorter intervals as set by the manufacturer's instructions. The check is performed by a competent person and proof is the per-serial-number verification record; a visual check before every use remains mandatory. Applies to fall-arrest systems and the other PPE listed in the order: escape breathing apparatus, respiratory equipment for hostile environments, inflatable lifejackets and stocks of gas filters. Renew workplace first-aider (SST) training every 24 months
Workplace first-aiders must attend a 7-hour skills maintenance and refresher session within 24 months of the previous certificate, counted date to date, to keep the qualification; once the deadline passes the employee can no longer act as a first-aider until recertified. Proof is the updated SST certificate with its validity date. Applies to the minimum duty of art. R4224-15 — at least one trained first-aider in every workshop carrying out dangerous work and on every site with at least 20 people for more than 15 days on dangerous work — above which the size of the first-aider team is a company decision. Hold the periodic works-council (CSE) meetings
The employer convenes the social and economic committee at least monthly in companies with 300 or more employees and at least every two months below that threshold; at least four meetings a year are devoted wholly or partly to health, safety and working conditions. Proof: convening notices, agendas and minutes, plus the annual calendar of health and safety meetings sent to the labour inspectorate, the occupational physician and prevention-service officers, confirmed in writing at least 15 days in advance. Applies to companies with at least 11 employees, the threshold for setting up a CSE: the cadence set here is the legal minimum below 300 employees and must move to one month above it, unless a collective agreement is more favourable.

Schedule renewal of enhanced individual health monitoring
Workers on posts with particular risks have their medical examination renewed by the occupational physician at most every four years, with an intermediate visit by a health professional no later than two years after: two separate deadlines must therefore be tracked for the same worker. Proof is the fitness opinion together with the intermediate visit attestation. Applies to the high-risk posts of art. R4624-23 (asbestos, lead, carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic agents, group 3 and 4 biological agents, ionising radiation, risk of falling from scaffolding, scaffold erection and dismantling) and to posts added by the employer after a reasoned opinion.

Update the DUERP at least once a year
The employer updates the single occupational risk assessment document at least yearly, plus at every significant reorganisation decision and whenever new risk information appears. Proof is the dated version of the DUERP, kept with all previous versions for at least 40 years. The yearly update applies to companies with at least 11 employees; below that threshold only event-driven updating remains, although the DUERP itself is mandatory from the first employee.
